Caren Neile, Ph.D., directs the South Florida Storytelling Project at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, where she is full-time faculty in Storytelling Studies. Dr. Neile teaches and performs throughout the country and abroad, including, last year, as a Fulbright Senior Specialist at Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Dr. Neile's numerous publications include two books and 16 articles in The Toastmaster magazine. She is a founding editor of the international academic journal Storytelling, Self, Society. Caren has served as a board member of the Florida Storytelling Association and the Healing Story Alliance, and is founder and past president of the Palm Beach County Storytelling Guild. She received a 2006 Oracle Award for Service and Leadership from the National Storytelling Network and has appeared in Cosmopolitan magazine and on National Public Radio. Read More »
